lulzmoose i am so disappointed that i waited so long to buy this album. It remained on my list for such a long time and i am glad i finally decided to buy it. Favorite track: The Land Between Solar Systems.

Illweevil Múm was before their time, producing an album that could be regarded as chillwave before it was cool. Nevertheless, Finally We Are No One trancends what is usually regarded as chillwave by incorporating lullabies of appropriately soft vocals with a suitably other-worldly accent. Favorite track: Green Grass Of Tunnel.

polymathemagician Half real half unreal. Half authentic half synthesized. 100% ethereal. Favorite track: Green Grass Of Tunnel.

Asher I don’t know why it took so long to find these people. This is a beautiful release. Favorite track: We Have A Map Of The Piano.

about

Múm make a music that's far too original to be easily compartmentalized. So analog keyboards hum alongside muted digital glitches, and "proper" instruments--accordions, cellos, melodicas--flutter in and out of the mix. The overall effect is of a modern kind of folk music. It's gentle, almost-fey stuff, but the quartet never slips into anything like polite ambience. Instead, the 11 pieces are like extracts from a particularly vivid dream journal, especially when the Valtýsdóttir sisters sing in their peculiar gurgling, infantilized way in the epically unfurling lullaby, "The Land Between Solar Systems." This is an album that leaves you longing for shady childhood experiences you never knew you'd even had.
