Forsaking samples and sequencer in favour of multi-tracking some seriously fluid, live improvisation, Dylan Group is the work of New York duo Dylan Cristy and Adam Pierce (the latter is also recording for FatCat under his MICE PARADE alias). On the eight-minute long 'If I Had Been Able', they concoct a gorgeous melodic / rhythmic interplay of vibraphones, crisp, sprawled-out jazzy drumming, bass, bubbling analogue undercurrents and curlicules of brass.
